Germany crushes USA 4-1

Germany got a great result that helps the morale of the team. They beated the United States 4-1. Juergen Klinsmann feels the support of his country.

All four goals came after a sloppy goalless first half that could inspire little confidence for Juergen Klinsmann's squad, a three-time World Cup champion that was coming off a 4-1 loss in Italy three weeks ago.

The embarrassing evening was oddly beneficial for U.S. Coach Bruce Arena, who, after witnessing several players flop against one of the sport's most revered teams, won't have nearly as difficult of a time selecting his World Cup roster in a few weeks.

"I don't think too many players played themselves onto our World Cup roster tonight, to be honest with you," he said. "There were some solid performances, but nothing that can make a strong case for a variety for players. Okay for some players, others not so good."
